Saponificia Varesino Cubebe

Top tier in all aspects: fragrance, ease of lather, slickness, cushion, sheen, packaging, and post shave. Expensive, but hits all the levers for me. Bouki has described the scent in a stellar way. It is a fresh, green, citrusy-vetiver: an all season puck.

This is a maker I have not tried yet and I don’t know exactly why.  Sure like the look of that Rob brush though.

Vétyver v. (Martin de Candre) vulcanized vetiver

This is one of the easiest soaps to lather, and it gives a close shave. I only wish I got better protection. This is only my second day with Vétyver and even though I'm limiting myself to two light passes, I'm already noticing some irritation. Hot, muggy summer weather really takes its toll on my skin. It cries out for deep, deep cushion. Martin de Candre is probably best for me in the cooler seasons.
