What soap/cream did you use today?

Bloomed the soap while I showered - Decided to actually time the lather process today:

1.  Loading with a 28mm tuxedo fan - 15 seconds
2.  Face-painted for 1:30 then dipped a quarter of the knot in sink water
3.  Continued to dip/face-paint up to the 4:30 mark, at which point, I swirled/agitated for the 1st time (honestly, I was a bit surprised how long I face-paint before the 1st agitation)
4.  Dipped/quick agitation (5 sec)/then face-paint
5.  Stopped at the 12:30 mark

One thing about turning shaving into a hobby is one never seems to settle into a routine.  All the soaps, creams, post shave serums, lotions, preshaves, and we have to try them all.  Well not today boys!  I did this one out of comfort and luxury with no thought to the science of it all.  I really have no need for more than Sir Henrys Sandalwood offers.  It’s Tabac with a non-polarizing scent.  Super plump finish.  

Very good soap, but what an awesome lather you've made of it! I look at the suds you churn out and I realize just how much I still have to learn.

I’m with you there! I should probably support my opinion here with a mini review but fitness is calling!

I’m becoming more careful with any review on creams/soaps. I have slowed waaaaay down on building my lathers. I went from a 3 minute whip it up to a 7-10 and honestly, I think I can build an incredible lather with a feather duster. Good lather does NOT mean good soap.

$16 at Smallflower for damaged boxes/pucks on BlackFriday was within my budget. Of course the ceramics did NOT come with it at $16, a well respected member here (ShaveMD) is responsible for that!
