In my opinion, this is one of the, if not the, greatest scents in all of wet-shaving and it's sad knowing the chances of it being made again are slim to none.  It also happens to be my beautiful wife's favorite...so it only gets used on special occasions/holidays.

Stirling Soap Co. Deep Blue Sea for the last week or so.  Early days but I don't think it's a scent style I would look to wear but so far so good as a shave soap.  A nice whiff of violets maybe I'm not sure it kind of gives a feel of late summer early fall.  I like it for a evening shave safe and pleasant I would say.

Acqua di Parma Colonia shaving cream.  Getting close to the end of the tube, but fortunately I have backups.

Like Dorothy says in The Wizard of Oz, “There's no place like home”.  That really rings true for me I the shaving game.  4 days ago I left my house for business in Las Vegas and due to the nature of the trip, wanted to travel light so….Carry-on.  That means a Gillette Guard razor and either a small brush and soap or a brushless cream. It gets the job done but coming home, and that first shave thereafter really show just how well I have “home” dialed in.  I'd had a “business acceptable” shave the last 4 mornings.  And I smelled good due to some Grey Flannel EDT in my kit, but I was ready for a smooth-cheeked shave this morning.  Stirling Peach got the nod because I left a springlike 64 degrees in Vegas and came back to a whopping 2 degrees in Idaho.  I wanted something to remind me of warmer days coming and peach fell into my hand.  What an awesome shave this morning.

Fougère v. (Martin de Candre) peppermint fougère

From time to time it's nice to make a lather in a bowl. It reminds me of using a mortar and pestle to crush herbs and spices. You start out with a wee bit of soap in the bottom of your bowl, and as you work it and water it the fragrance develops, sometimes suddenly and overwhelmingly, at other times in a more mild fashion. Either way you get a chance to close your eyes and catch the warm notes as they well up from the lather. A fine and simple joy.
