Green Vetiver t. (Fine Accoutrements) Guerlain Vetiver

After a month spent with vegetal soaps, it’s fun to come back to the rich, glossy lather of a well tallowed puck. Tallow offers the protection my hot and bothered skin is crying out for. Today’s Green Vetiver went on thick and ever so slick, making each pass a perfect joy. This tub’s three years old, so the scent has grown faint. I mended it with a few squirts of Guerlain Vetiver edt. Truth be told, until lately I wasn’t very impressed with Fine soaps. But today’s lather astonished me, and the great shave kept me smiling all morning long. Funny how even a small success can brighten the rest of the day.

Mike's Bergamot, Orange, Ylang-ylang

Getting on a plane shortly and I sure do like to smell like Fine L'Orange Noir.  The soap is not my first choice but it's a good choice.  The scent is light but lingers thus I pair it with the aftershave (which lasts almost all dsy).  I find the water window to be fairly narrow on this one meaning I hit it with a wet brush and load/lather right on the puck.
