What soap/cream did you use today?

"What happened to your face? It's a mess!" Not exactly what I was hoping to hear from my wife as I sat down to breakfast. I shuffled off to find a mirror and assess the damage. Razor rash everywhere, worse than if I had used only water for today's shave. No matter how much soap I start out with, this tub simply cannot make a protective lather. I've been trying to coax some performance from this soap for years. Only a psychologist could explain why I keep coming back to it. Every shave has left me with tingles and a burn, but this morning's flare-up finally broke my will. I scooped the remnants of the soap into a ball and threw it into the shower. It's a relief to have it out of the rotation.

I should mention that this is an old tin of Rose de Pushkar produced in the early days of LPL's soap making. Their latest soaps perform admirably and are among my favorites, but this Pushkar rose has been a disappointment from the first shave to the last.

How is the scent on that? Strong? Does the lime fade quickly? Any other scents beyond the two? This one has me intrigued.

I initially got RR What the puck lime. It faded too fast for me. I just recently picked up Ogallala Bay Rum lime and pepper. Haven't tried it yet, but I hope it has more staying power. If it doesn't, I figure I might as well have my homework done as to what's next. Lol.
