So I recently bought a few tubs of the lime. Started using it at the same time as I used a new razorock baby smooth. I thought it was the razor that was irritating me (a lot!). Last night I put on just the shave cream and after maybe two minutes I had the same burning pain on my face.

I didn't realize that when I ordered it, but the lime says for oily skin. My skin is more in the dry range. Does anyone think this could be the culprit?

Thanks!

More than likely it's something in the fragrance that's burning your skin.

Delfts Wit (Scheermonnik) spicy wood

'Thank you for your visit. Sadly Scheermonnik soaps are no longer being produced'. That's the note that greeted me when I visited the Shave Monk's web site today. Though his tins are still available through a few vendors, he seems to have closed the book on soap cooking, at least for now. A shame, since Delfts Wit game me a great shave with impressive slickness and finish. The scent, a mild wood & spice blend, may harbor some berry as well.
