Ambra (Grooming Dept) mandarin orange, lilikoi, sweet amber
Like many other artisan soaps, Grooming Dept's scents take time to mature. Right now there's a hard-candy sweetness to this soap that's perky, but not very complex. In a few weeks, though, I expect the amber will develop, giving the fragrance a rounder, more resinous base. The lather is excellent, and the finish surpasses everything else on my shelf. I get so close, it's like my beard stops growing for 23 hours.
