What SB did you use today?

Rubberset 200-4 with 24mm Whipped Dog pure black badger

I am so happy I went with this knot for this brush. Every time I use it, it gets better. Fastest loading brush in my rotation, and the scritchiness is pretty much gone. What remains is a soft, scrubby brush with tons of backbone. Good stuff!!

Hey Matthew, thanks for the info.  I used only the cold water tap when I cleaned it the two times and then when I lathered so it wouldn't be due to hot water.  Personally I didn't give it a second thought but does make me wonder now that you mention your experience. I wonder what the difference could be for the decrease in color stability?  The only other person I know who has purchased the Maggard B&W knot is Jeff wyze0ne but I'm not sure if he has used the knot yet.

Well, the temperature can then be ruled out. It seems like you really enjoy this knot (in general). Has it stopped bleeding color by now? If it’s still doing it after about ten uses, I’d get in touch with Maggard to see if they have heard of other such instances. Best of luck!
