Had a little Ballenclaugh left in my lather bowl, whipped that up for a pass with the 109, rinsed and used some Speick. This Whipped Dog boar will make short work out of any soap/cream/croap. $20 no frills

I am not into brushes in any significant way (x2 Yaqi's synthetics serve me very well) but that 'faux sapphire' resin that Stirling Brushes uses has had my heart racing quite a bit. Loved your description of it when you first posted about the brush. Shame they currently do not have a synthetic version for this, but even then the price is still eye watering so would be a very difficult decision if it ever came up again.

She’s a gorgeous brush, I’ll be sad to part ways with her this coming week.  We’re breaking up on Monday, she decided a younger man is not what she wants. She’s had her fling, now back to Dan Law.

And the images Simpson brushes uses on their website does not in anyway do justice to how wonderful this handle material look’s, you would easily bypass them because of that.

Found a ‘Paladin’ shaving brush handle material that may have a somewhat similar ‘lit from within iridescence’ quality called ‘Vintage Port’, but that faux sapphire has really stolen my heart.
