What's Up With Tryablade.com?

I haven't been able to open the Tryablade.com website for a few days.  Does anybody know if he's still in business?  It would be a shame if he closed down.

I was reading elsewhere it looks like they are out of business. Few people saying they haven't shipped their orders but have been able to get full refunds on them through paypal and such.

Thats a bummer.  I know theres another site that does the same thing but this one has been around for years and I hate seeing any business shut down.

Why don't we start a nonbusiness try a blade service in this subforum? Essentially have a dedicated thread where requests made with requester agreeing to pay shipping. Can these be shipped by letter wrapped in thick paper?

Yes, Dan, you are right on the shipping. Try A Blade often sent the blades secured to a piece of card stock in an envelope, so it basically cost a stamp unless one ordered a big bundle of blades. But we could do a thread under blades where someone could post a blade they wanted to try and if another member had a tuck, they could opt to send a single blade or two. I know have more blades than I know what to do with and sending out some samplers should be easy.

Same here. Not as though getting involved with vintage blades.

Would run this but our domestic situation in flux at moment and need offload activities. However, will promise to participate if blades in my possession are requested.
