I don't know that I'll be able to take pix of them assembled and sugared...

Tomorrow we are going to a get together, not a super bowl party, and since the hostess has the protein nibbles all taken care of I decided to make mini cream puffs. 2 bites and they're gone. I made the pastry cream earlier and just finished with 38 shells. Tomorrow I'll inject their innards. I won't sugar them until I'm on site, so I don't know about pix.

I made one by slicing a shell open and just spooning in some pastry cream and it was delicious. Tomorrows will be injected.

One cooling rack of shells.

Edit: The day after and lots of folks didn't show. I'd have had plenty anyway, but there were very few left after a few hours. They went over much better than I had hoped.

V-day grilled lobster tails, finished with a white wine butter sauce, mussels, grilled asparagus and sour dough from Franco American bakery.

Here's to all our sweethearts!

Quick shot of the mussels- white whine, garlic, onion... It has been so warm this winter, that is the last Meyer lemon from our tree.

Looks delicious Kevin! Where are you that you can have a lemon tree?

Hey Brian, I am in Austin and this winter we only had to worry about the citrus [we have (2) lemon, (1) kumquat and (1) lime trees] once this year. Last year we did have frost damage but they came back quickly other than the lime which is still fighting its way back.

That Meyer was the last one on the tree but the false spring has already had one cycle of buds, although they all subsequently dropped.

It was high 70's Saturday!

Looks good Bruce!

I bought 2 boneless legs of lamb today and had them cut into steaks. They came out of the SousVide bath an hour ago. They will be future "instant" meals.

Bruce, it looks delicious! I like the fact that a little snow isn't stopping you from making your delicious food. Smile
