Hopefully, it will. My best shaves on the Feather Artist Club Professionals usually happen after about 2–3 shaves. Also (in my experience), the first pass can be a little tuggy if you have more than a day’s growth, but the second pass is usually very smooth.
(Whenever any blade feels tuggy, I try to adjust to a very shallow angle and keep the pressure to a minimum.)

That last little piece of advice is what I do too. It seems to help a lot.
