Razor: Smart Helix Apollo Aggressive
Blade: Wizamet
Brush: Leonidam Badger
Soap: DG Peaches and Scream
AS : Witch Hazel + DG Peaches and Scream
Fragrance:
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 2,296
5 Razors have been generously shared with me to experience 1) Smart Helix Apollo Aggressive 2) Blackland Tradere 3) Above The Tie H Plate 4) Rocnel Elite Brass 5) Russian Standard OC 1.30 Gap SS (I'm guessing it may be the Homelike razor but not sure)
Decided to try the Apollo first off. Attractive razor with nice grip on the handle without being overly aggressive as some can be. Goldilocks grip we'll call it. The shave was uneventful as far as being too aggressive and a nice finish to my mug was achieved. I would describe the shave as rough feeling though. Not rough, it's going to bite me but rough in the edge of the baseplate seems to feel rough with each stroke like the edge is too sharp on the baseplate. Not a bad shave but not a comfortable experience to me. I could shave with it and get a great shave as I did and may be able to adjust and dial it in with more shaves but honestly there are too many razors out there that don't require that much adjusting to get a comfortable and better experience. I am excited to have the chance to try this one and the others though as they are all new experiences to me. Have a great day everyone !
