What gets the honor of destroying a beard?

I certainly missed out on them when they were a going concern, but I was around for Morrissey's biggest moments as a solo artist (Your Arsenal and Vauxhall, both of which came out when I was in high school). My musical taste ranges widely, and I'd never let date or decade be a barrier. :-)
