I started collecting fragrances when I was very young.
At first to get the girls attention in school.
But I soon found out I was addicted to fragrances, mostly mens fragrances - not so much the fragrances marketed for women.
My big brother would rock these classic scents and I loved smelling them in his room at our parents house.
He wore Lagerfeld Classic and Azzaro Pour Homme like crazy back in the early 1980’s.
I bought my first bottle of fragrance when I was 13 years old. It was Cacharel Pour Homme.
I loved this scent to death.
I then bought Azzaro Pour Homme, Lagerfeld Classic, Burberry for men (not the same fragrance today), Dior Eau Sauvage, Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, Oscar de la Renta Pour Lui, Sergio Tacchini Uomo and several others.
As a 13 year old I had a collection of 25-30 fragrances.
The fragrance I wish was still in production today and a fragrance I miss very much is Davidoff For Men.
It was a green liquid in a bottle with a grey plastic top.
It’s a tobacco Chypre fragrance and I bought several bottles of this in the mid 1980’s.
I’ve looked for a clone of this for 15 years, but never succeeded in finding one.
It has a 12-15 hour longevity on me, projected very well and left this vibrating silver like scent cloud around me when I wore it.
It’s still one of my all time favourite fragrances - and I believe I have owned more than 2000 different fragrances in my lifetime by now.
What fragrance do you miss and wish was still being made today ?
