I can pick out the lavender and pine easily, and the lemon with more difficulty, but there is also other stuff that only better noses than mine can sort out. I am pleased with, but not bowled over by Histria's legs and sillage. The bouquet was somewhat intimate but still clear when I retired over four hours after applying it, and the bouquet is faint, but still discernible as I write this post at about 10:00 in the morning. For a perfume, that would be great. For an extrait, I am really not sure what to say, so take it FWIW. Also, I am not able to describe the evolution of the bouquet, as some people can, but that's just me.(Today, 04:09 AM)HighSpeed Wrote:
What is your perspective Mike?
One last thing: To my nose, some scents that feature pine and lemon smell more or less like detergents (granted, more likely to be soap scents than perfumes). Histria thankfully does not do so at all. Blenheim Bouquet is another beautiful pine/lemon forward composition which avoids that trap, but Histria's legs and sillage are way better than Blenheim B's. I include this paragraph in part because I recall you've expressed an interest in Blenheim B, combined with disappointment with its legs. Perhaps Histria is right for you.?
