What fragrance are you wearing today?

NICE, I keep thinking I need to get a bottle of this incredible scent

Do it!  I keep liking this one more and more.  IME it has fairly good legs too. Not the most masculine, but it works for me, and it is also one of the few that Mrs. HighSpeed really likes.

Excuse me my friend, it’s been a long day with work and I just sat down with a 3 finger pour of Gentleman Jack. Tobacco Blaze is truly something else. This is not a fragrance to please the crowd or to sit and wait for the scent aficionados to rain praises upon it. It’s more of a feeling or vibe you might say. Yes, it has this slightly crude and perhaps oily type Ashe like nuance that lingers throughout the life of the fragrance. Upon first spray it could be a bit off putting but, it’s short lived as one gets this Violet & Saffron accord that gives it a slight smoke/ashe vibe with a subdued sweetness from the Saffron. The Violet is constant and stays for the duration but, there is a change mid way with an amber like type note that tags along with this sort of dried yet thick fruit accord that floats intermittently with a sharp wood note, perhaps the cedar but, I’m not completely sure. In between that you get a sort of a green leafy note that darts in and out on occasion almost tobacco flower like and it melts beautifully with the Oud & Patchouli down into the deep dry down. It gets warmer during the dry down while maintaining a subtle sweetness from the amber note while simultaneously being shrouded in this earthy rich density that’s nuanced with a smooth and sueded Leather like aroma. To say that this fragrance is a ride is an understatement. This will not be for everyone and I will truly say that it must be sampled before one goes in on a full bottle. I have nothing in my collection that comes close to what Tobacco Blaze gives. It’s a journey that takes me back to the great rock bands of the 60’s through the early 80’s with their jamming concerts.

I could imagine being at a Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Zeppelin, Cream, Deep Purple and others of that era in a jam session in a smokey dim lit night club that probably holds two to three hundred heads taking in the moment, puffing on the peace pipe while some incense sticks burn nonstop on the table. La Yuqawam Tobacco Blaze brings that very essence to my minds eye. It’s bold and masculine, it’s unapologetic yet true to its form. It’s a masterpiece but, only for a chosen few….
