How are these Slumberhouse frags? Would you please comment on the two scents posted?

Slumberhouse - Jeke - EdP

How are these Slumberhouse frags?  Would you please comment on the two scents posted?

Hello DanLaw . I really enjoy the Slumberhouse fragrances that I’ve been able to get my hands on. I currently own Kiste (probably the best Tobacco scent I’ve ever smelled), Fjerne, Grev, Jeke, Mond, and Baque. The releases seem to be completely random, I’ve gone over a year without hearing a thing and then I’ll see a bottle or two available online. The ones I’ve tried have definitely been worth the wait as far as I’m concerned. I don’t think any of these would be considered crowd pleasers, but I very much enjoy them. A few things that stand out to me in regards to this Fragrance House- 1. The quality of materials he uses seems to be exceptional. 2. Most of the fragrance I own take me on a journey. I can very easily pick out the Top, Middle, and Bottom notes, and it’s pretty easy to pick up when it transitions from one set of notes to another. For me, Slumberhouse doesn’t present itself the same way. With Slumberhouse, I seem to just get a wall of scent notes that just keeps going and going, with very little transition. This in no way is a bad thing, just something that I’ve noticed from this particular House. The longevity with these scents is insane, I’m talking days if it’s sprayed on clothing. Wash your clothing, and you will still be able to smell it. Beastly longevity.

As far as the two Fragrances I posted are concerned-

Grev- I consider this one a Fougere, although it’s definitely not your typical scent notes. This one is a favorite for warmer weather as it just feels like a ‘cool’ scent to me. This one has a metallic/herbal feel to it. It’s Woody, Spicy, and Aromatic to me. I get Apple Peel, Spearmint, and Clove on first sniff, and then I get a very resinous Fir and Pine, followed by an earthy/mossiness, and at the very end I can pick up some Sandalwood. This is very crisp and fresh to me, like a huge breath of cool mountain air from the Pacific Northwest. Love this one. The Official Fragrance Notes- Copaiba Balsam, Spearmint, Pine, Star Anise, Apple Peel, Fir Resin, Clove, Orris Root, Cedar, and Sandalwood.

Jeke- I was talking to ExtraProtein about this fragrance yesterday. To me personally, this scent is Manliness in a Bottle. When I first heard about this scent, many people were saying that it’s very ‘Smokey’ or ‘Ashtray’ which was an immediate turn off for me. Years later I was able to get my hands on a sample, and the smokiness in this scent is just perfection. This scent is definitely not a crowd pleaser, it is in your face, and it will choke people out if you over spray (which I always do). To me, this is a Smokey wall of Whiskey, Amber/Honey, and Tobacco. In no way do I get Ashtray with this one, more like burning leaves in the Fall, and it keeps the scent from becoming too sweet or gourmand. It’s a Golden/Smokey/Boozy bottle of manliness. ExtraProtein says it smells like Curry and Maple Syrup. I always feel like a million bucks when I wear this one. The Official Fragrance Notes- Tobacco, Amber, Honey, Rum, Vanilla, Clove, Caramel, Whiskey, Benzoin, Smoke.

Well now...your response was a journey...well worth the taking. Thank you. Compelled to experience these as have a predisposition for the niche and affection for what regarded bombs, in a positive sense.  So many frags are derivative and neutered these days, eh?

Thank you for sharing.
