What do you have 'Out for Delivery' ?

Finally pulled the trigger and ordered a Merkur 37C slant. I'm a little nervous about the learning curve, but can't wait to give it a try. Also have some soaps from Italian Barber coming in too.

Well, it has nothing to do with shaving except that I can access the forum when out and about.  I gave in to my wife's wishes and ordered an Amazon Kindle Fire.

Heck yeah it has to do with shaving. You can use it to order more stuff.

If it is not clear that I am a fan of Stirling...here is more proof. Wanted to order more, but wife put the limits on...

1 tub of Cocoa Forest
1 puck of Bergamot Lavender
1 Mountain man bath soap (ordered the shave soap early in the month)
1 Mountain man aftershave splash
1 Mountain man aftershave balm
1 Christmas Eve bath soap
4 samples of AS splash (bay rum, cocoa forest, vanilla sandalwood, grapefruit (to go with some Tim's ruby red))
1 bay rum shave soap
1 Gatlinburg AS balm

I also entered the slant world with a 37C. A really fine shaver. I found that I did not have to change my technique at all (except for the side burns). I've found the 37C to be very efficient and somewhat comparable to the 34C. A good solid preformer. I Recently picked up a Lutz double slant. I have only 2 shaves under my belt, but my initial impression is it's very smooth.

You may be surprised at the very short learning curve. The 37C (or the discontinued G, for Gold) offers up a very pleasant shave. Let us know how you get on with it.

I'm hoping to receive shipping notification of my OneBlade soon. Then it will be several days of me mentally willing the USPS to move my razor faster than everyone else's Christmas presents. We'll see how well that goes.

I've been using mine for a few weeks now. I throw a badger brush shave in every now and then, but keep reaching for the synthetic.

My oh my, how I underestimated them.

All evidence has been buried, all tapes have been erased.

Just ordered a Razorock Plissoft

Did you get it in yet and what do you think of it? Mine came yesterday and it performed well for me this morning.

I picked up some synthetics this past year just to check them out but have found that I reach for them very often. Great lather and a pleasure to use.


Glad to hear that you're both enjoying the Plissoft @bruce and SharpSpine- great value brush for sure.

I'm there with you gents. More and more I find I go for one of my synthetics. I still use and enjoy my badgers, boars, and horsehairs but the synthetics produced in the last year or so are just amazing.
