John: I applaud you for cutting the cable! Why are ppl paying $200 a month for 12 channels they watch on the reg? You have to get into the mindset of = your smart TV is really just a ginormous iphone
You’ll be downloading apps to your “channel” screen. HBOMax, weather channel, local news stations, YouTube, FoxNews, prime, Netflix, whatever. Think about the channels you watched, now you’re downloading their app, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, etc. It will take a couple months for you to get used to it as you’re accustomed to the channel guide page. I was frustrated for a few days because I didn’t grasp the concept of my TV is now a big phone with apps. Also, this is a few years ago when streaming was in its infancy and no one in my personal circle had embraced it. My “cable” bill is $54 a month for my internet access, I have google fiber, 1gig. No taxes, surcharges etc as it’s NOT a utility bill. Google found its way around all that drama.
Our television time became much more quality. Streaming controls content that interests your household. We don’t watch the news, we could care less about who is protesting what, politics and religion. We’re too busy living each day like it’s our last in this house! Have fun watching content YOU control! Cheers
