I have a Ralf Aust 6/8 round coming from Razor Emporium. I have the 5/8 already and just had my first shave with it yesterday. I'm hoping the 6/8 comes in shave ready like the 5/8 did. It was my first "real" straight razor shave besides a shavette. The only 2 problems that I had with the shavette was not enough cutting area and my whiskers got caught between the blade and the door and it nicked me.

I'm hoping that the additional mass of the 6/8 will result in less pressure I need to apply to get it to cut. I was really surprised at how different a cartridge, shavette and a full blown straight razor shave. The mass of the shavette was nice for sure but, the 5/8 was more maneuverable than a cartridge. Now that I have a straight, I can shave more than I have previously done before. Anyway, can't wait for the 6/8 to get here!

I have quite a bit enroute, right now... Hopefully delivered between today and tomorrow (or sometime around Christmas, based on the USPS track record):

CBL custom Smokey Mountain Cedar,  Roasted Oatmeal Stout, and a custom Sir Irish Fougere. I love the scent of the SMC. Need to keep it well stocked. After watching Gareth's journey, I wanted to grab a Fougere that was relatively safe. Since Dave had sent me a sample of the Tonsorial Sir Fougere a year or two back, I thought it was a safer bet. This will likely be a newer base, thought. Smile

A Gillette Red Tip razor. I've wanted to try this one. I'm not a fan of Aggressive razors, but from what I hear this is only Aggressive in relation to the others. We'll see if it stays or goes the way of BST.

A 24mm Synbad to go into my Custom handle by our own Stubble Daddy . I decided, after using the badger a few times I needed to reknot the custom brush. It was a good badger (Maggards 2-band), and got moved to another handle, but I just prefer synths and I want to use this brush a lot, not just on occasion. So fingers crossed the Synbad is a winner.

Lisa's Natural Herbal bar soaps (Somali Rose and Mango), and some samples of the newest base in Somali Rose (to fill out my 'mix and match' tub). Last summer I had a sample of the Mango soap and it was strong and dessert like. Figure I should have a full bar this year. Just need to remind myself, "Don't try to eat it".  Wink

Happy Monday (is that an oxymoron?) everyone!

Vintage Yacht Club aftershave, which I have been seeking forever. And it's been so long now that I've forgotten why I wanted it in the first place.

Actually , I was about to recommend Millenium to you. It might be expensive but it's the most premium soap here in India. Good scent and EO used is also premium category.

What you have ordered is also a sandalwood soap with an avg scent. You might not be disappointed imo.

I've tried the majority of Shannon's Soaps (not a fan of coconut scents so I still haven't tried Coconut Lime or Pina Colada).  But I was surprised to open the Razor Company website the other day to see they would be carrying this awesome soap.  One soap really stood out but was "sold out".  Thankfully, Shannon's website had it...and in few days, I'll have it as well
