As the title says. Looking for some sythetic brushes that don't have humongous glue bump like most on the market.

The Plisson synthetic i have for sale dosen't have a glue bump. Let me know if you're intrested. I think we can work out a deal for you.

My simpsons chubby 2 synthetic also lacks a glue bump.

My EJ/Muhle Synthetic dosen't have a 'bump' persay, but the glue plug is near the top of the handle so you can feel if you're really looking for it. This brush is prob my favorite synthetic (even more than my synthetic chubby 2).

not sure if my razorock plissoft has a noticeable glue bump or not. I'll check tonight after work and report back.

If I recall correctly my Whipped Dog 30mm Synthetic has no glue bump that can be felt. Probably what it is is it was set low enough.

My favorite synthetic brushes are my Muhle 25mm Synthetic Fibre brushes, they’ve got good backbone and whip up lather with ease. I even like them better than my Tuxedo Knot, they have more backbone and seem to do a better job while lathering up some of my harder soaps and they still feel great on the face. Neither of them have a glue bump, highly recommended.

After trying so many synthetics, I find Simpsons' Chubby 2 synthetic to be the best one.
No glue-bump, whatsoever. Shy

I just ordered a 25mm fan tuxedo, but now I think I want to try the EJ / Muhle. Which size knot did you guys get in this brush?

Sorry I kept forgetting to get back to this thread. I brought up most of my synthetics but I'll have to go back for 2 others that aren't in handles yet.

DFS LE Ubersoft II synthetic: I can feel it has a glue bump, but at the loft it is set it is barely noticable (45mm loft).
Chubby 2 Synthetic: Excellent choice. No glue bump whatsoever. My Classic 1 synth was that way too.
23mm Muhle STF V2: 6mm glue bump in a loft of 50mm.
24mm Fine Stout: Not a good choice. 13mm glue bump from a total loft of 44mm. Not a great lather holder.
Original Plissoft: No glue bump whatsoever.
Muhle Black Fibres: 10mm glue bump from a total loft of 48mm. Not too bad, but it is a small knot.
Whipped Dog 30mm synthetic: A 5mm glue bump from a total loft of 50. Barely noticeable with the large diameter.
Omega S-Brush S10083: 9mm glue bump from a total loft of 57mm. This one is interesting as it is a synthetic boar brush. I don't see the comparison to boar myself, but it is ridiculously soft.
24mm Cashmere synthetic: 13mm from bottom of glue knot. Total loft of 54mm subtracting 10mm off from the glue plug.
24mm Tuxedo synthetic: 16mm from bottom of glue knot. Total loft of 54mm subtracting 10mm off from the glue plug.

I plan to set these two knots at about 10mm each, and I think they would effectively display no glue bump at that loft.

I can feel the glue bump in my razorock plissoft about an inch or so above where the knot exits the brush handle.
