Good question. I consider myself fortunate as my hair grows in a fairly uniform manner except for one small birds nest on top. I did have about seven, low profile, moles but they have been history for some time now. I should have been smart like olschoolsteel and had them removed by a doctor, but no, I did it myself with my DE razor (many cuts, lots of blood for a couple months). lol Now my head is very smooth and easy to shave with a DE razor. Just keep at it. It'll get easy and something that you look forward to.

The gent who stitched me up told me about combing and such. He left out head shaving.

Once you get used to it, you can use any razor you're comfortable with. I use a 33c, Super Speed, Maggard V3, 37c, Old Type, and last night I used a GEM G Bar. By the end of next week, I'm hoping to take my first adjustable for a spin thanks to andrewjs18  providing a fantastic deal on a Slim...

I don't know if it's real or not, but it feels like my mole and scars have been "leveled off", for lack of a better term. I have cut them several times, but it seems that lately either I have shaved them down enough that they are smooth and no longer catch the blade, or my technique has improved enough to prevent the blade from catching.

Either way is fine by me, as long as the bleeding stops!

Right. I'm with you. I believe that all my skull blemishes have been smoothed out also. I can't remember the last time I drew blood (Now I'll cut myself tomorrow of course).
