I know you cant get these from Weber anymore but I was lucky enough to pick one up off the BST a week or so ago.  In the week I've used it I have to say it is the best razor that I own and I am considering getting rid of most of my other razors.  I have to say its a real shame Weber is unable to produce these currently.  Any blade I have fed it removes my beard perfectly.  I can feel the gradual reduction as I go through three passes and by the third I am always left with a BBS shave on my entire face which a lot of the razors I have are unable to provide.  For those that don't have one, get one.  Don't allow yourself to be gouged, I was able to pick one up for $85 bucks and I think they originally sold for $70.  Have seen them on the auction sites for hundreds of dollars.  Anyone else had as good a shave with a Weber as I have?

Couldn't agree more with you. It is a shame that they are no longer made. I would compare the shave I get from a Weber very favorably with the ATT R1, with the R1 being a tad bit smoother. I agree with the price gouging as well; for that type of money you can get yourself an ATT R1.

I agree totally with this. They were 70 new. Beautiful shavers. I have seen them in excess of 200 for the dlc.

I almost got took on an ebay auction gone wild.... I'm glad I lost the bid war. I went with a ATT S2, used nearly new, at an awesome price, also on the bay, glad I did that instead.

One of the best DE's in den. I was lucky enough to bought from a frirnd of facebook a Weber DLC with a wave stainless handle. No doubt, it's a great razor.

I want to give ATT slants a go. I have the M1 and R2 plates. Don't use the M1, need to try and trade it for an H. The R2 gives me a great shave but it's not the effortless bbs I get with the Weber. Sounds like TSE is getting similar results with his new Wolfman.

Absolutely, I got one with a bulldog handle a year ago.  Sold my Progress (which was a great razor too) and waited a couple weeks for it to be in stock.  Get great shaves with all stubble lengths.

As I am coming up on having this razor for two weeks now I have fed it some of my favorite blades:
PolSilver
Gillette Silver Blue
Astra SP
Feather
These are all blades I've gotten great shaves with in the past. For the next two weeks I'm going to throw at it the blades I didn't get so great of shaves (or at least not as good as the blades ive listed above) in the past.
Derby (still have the tuck I got with my EJ DE89...)
Rapira Lux and Swedish Steel
Personna Blue Labs
Wilkinson Swords
I may even try a Merkur blade...(I think I have some of those but never used them)
I'm going to go out on a limb and say I bet I get great shaves with these blades in this razor. The angle which this razor holds the blade addresses my face in such a way that I just get great shaves...

I'll let you know.

Well its been a mixed bag. I have tried a couple of the blades that I don't get good shaves with in my other razors. The results so far:

Rapira Swedish Steel-Very good shave from this blade in the Weber, much closer and near BBS after third pass. Comfortable shave, which never was an issue in any razor, just not as close as I'd like.

Gillette 7 o'clock Black-Didnt get close comfortable shaves with blade in my other razors and didnt get any in this razor. I think this blade isnt for me.

Personna '74- Have only tried this blade in this razor since opening the tuck. It is an ok shave, DFS for sure. It leaves my face feeling very raw though, during the shave it doesn't feel to rough. But after the shave, very irritated, very raw.

I've been playing around with a Schick Injector and my Mongoose as well so that all of the blades so far that I've been able to get 3-4 days worth of shaves with.

Still want to try the Rapira Lux, Wilkinson Sword and Derby blades and see how they do in the Weber.
