Unlike the thread on the Gillette Heritage that got way out of hands with details and opinions, just accept this as an unusual razor head design, buy it because it cost slightly more than a Burger King Meal Deal and judge it by it's shave qualities.

BTW - on another forum, WCS confirmed that it is chrome over zinc alloy.

OK...opinions and inquisitive minds are not appreciated. Got it.

It only says its "designed" by CG... I would doubt it highly that the heads would either carry the CG brand or even be mfg'd by Brian. I would bet they are made in China to specs that Brian wrote up.

That was my figuring as well. Still doesn't explain the "why". I dont see any positive for Brian.

I am sure he designed well these safety razors. Two more safety razors will be available soon.
Hope they will come with different designed top caps, so people can have 9 different safety razor combinations.
He spent time and effort to design them, of course he should put his name as the designer of these safety razors.
His purpose might only provide very good razors with very reasonable price, so more people can be interested in wet shaving.

If I won't be happy with these razors, I can sell them even for $1.
Might somebody be happy with them. It is better option than throw them away.

According to the WCS site, the two other razors will have the same top cap and only the base plates will be different. Judging by the design of the current base plate, I am assuming the more aggressive base plate will probably be one similar to the Maggard v3a or RR Mentor, and the OC base plate will probably be similar to the Maggard v2 OC or RR Old Type. Still, when I made Frankenrazors using my Alfa top cap on those base plates, they were very efficient shavers and so I expect these to be the same.

Brian has a previous relationship with WCS with some razors from a while back. I see mention of them every now and then. They were like a Lvl 1 CG with a couple handle choices if I remember right...

I would've been interested if they were stainless steel. Not getting back into the zamak game thank you very much.
