It seems as if the new owner at West Coast Shaving is really going whole hog in the wet shaving world lately. They are making a bold market move with guns a blazin'!! The recent addition of Oleo, Grooming Dept. & Eufros soaps shows they are playing hard ball and they seem to have great shipping deals all the time to boot. We are definitely living in what I call the "Platinum Age" of wet shaving.  Wink

I noticed this as well. He now has a handful of soaps that even Maggards doesn't have which separates him from them. This is a really great thing because if one can't find a scent or soap at the vendor stores they can go to West Coast Shaving and pick it up. I've always liked West Coast shaving and in fact there were one of the first vendors I frequented so its great to see them grabbing some of these artisan products up.

Glad of that. Hopefully they will be patronized by the Wet shaving consumers.

A fantastic vendor. They've been super supportive of my efforts and from what I hear have been supportive of other artisans too.

They are now offering the British made Wickham Soap. I had one of their original tallow soaps, Spice Trade, a few years back but sold it to a friend who wanted it badly as it smelled exactly like current Old Spice. I don't believe they use tallow anymore, but their non-tallow gets great reviews.

I saw this too, they have some REALLY interesting sounding scents. Is the performance up to snuff on the Wickham?

In my opinion, Wickham stands up to most tallow soaps, and I really enjoy using the 1912 formula. It’s easy to whip up a great, shiny lather from that soap. Scents are of course a bit subjective. Something in Cashmere struck me wrong, so I sold it to someone who seems to love it. I adore Le Bleu, enjoy Parma Violet and Shamrock Tweed, and would eventually like to get one or two others.

I also have an old Super Smooth formula soap that I enjoy a lot. I believe Darron (the artisan) is planning on releasing a new tallow-based shaving soap, but I’m not sure when that’ll happen.
Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

They simply have to stop!!! They are now selling Ariana & Evans shave soap which Ruds rates as one of the best!! If I weren't "on the wagon" for shaving products I would be on this one like a fat guy on a doughnut!! Blush Wink
