This is my last badger as I slim down to only boar (except for my Wee Scot).
A terrific brush whose handle is so comfortable that I pestered the maker, Charles, to make another for me with a larger knot (he wouldn't) because the handle is so ergonomic.
This is a described by the maker as a 20mm knot but it measures as a 22mm knot. I had a custom Shavemac brush made to match this brush with a fan shaped bulb so that I could have two of these, and had a 22mm knot put in it. The two brushes measured the same, so I think it really is a 22mm knot. I sold the Shavemac in favor of this one.
I used this in a large rotation of brushes, but didn't have it long and didn't use it many times. Nevertheless it was my prize for a while, and I liked it even more than my 3824, and more also than my 22mm Shavemac. This is the last one to go. I was going to keep it, but I need to fund some pocket knife purchases that have taken hold of me, and I have lots of brushes already.
It is in Nearly New/Mint condition. It has backbone and is perfectly soft, no scritch at all. This is the only badger brush I have owned that NEVER lost a hair, so it is definitely not a shedder.
Offered in two ways:
On its own, shipped CONUS $88
Or, with a brand new, unopened NIB puck of Valobra Patchouly ($30 at bullgoose): $108
I purchased a boatload of Valobra, so I now have fifteen pucks or so and it feels like too much of a good thing. Great soap; great scent.
