If you get the Feather Carbon steel blades you can strop and hone them.

We could have told you that it would not work with GEM spined blades if you would asked us. OTOH, it is possible to easily de-spine GEM blades and then they will work.

Tedolph I'm not an idiot.  And no, de-spined Gem blades will not work in this razor.  They only work in the first generation OneBlades.  Subie Shaves on YouTube said they could be hacked, so I tried his method, but it did not work as claimed.  It bowed the blade, making it ineffective.  No matter.  I could not get one good shave out of a Feather FHS-10 blade.  This is not a razor or blade for coarse beards.

Easy Draebeard-no one is calling you an idiot. I have one of the early ones and I have used a de-spined GEM blade (I like Feathers better). It is easy to get the spine off if you squeeze the rear end with a needle nose pliers-it pops right off. So, it was reasonable for me to make that suggestion. Thanks for correcting me with your personal experience.

I have a tough beard and it works OK for me. I just prefer a single edge where I can control the angle, but it is a good razor if you need a quick shave.

As I said, no offense was intended or implied. Can we be friends?
