For Sale!!
Boker “Celebrated” Straight Razor, Curly Birch wooden scales, 6/8, handmade in Germany.
With this particular model and these particular scales, these go for approximately $300 to $350. They are currently sold on Boker’s website for just slightly over $300.
A couple things to factor in, I paid for honing services by one of the best in the business in Maxx Sprecher. It probably has 3 shaves on it total, if that, and that’s total use case, so it’s essentially brand new “if you will”. In full transparency, there is one very minor crack on one of the scales (extremely small) that either occurred during the honing process or shipping/delivery process. Nonetheless, it’s had absolutely no impact on the razor at all. It shaves amazing! I took a close up pic so you can see exactly what/where I am referencing. I spoke to Maxx and other professionals about this and it was recommended to keep them as is because it doesn’t impact anything and may never depending on use case and how careful one is.
Given what I paid for the razor, plus shipping, plus honing by Maxx Sprecher, return shipping again, I think it is fair to ask $275 $250 $225 and I’ll cover shipping (US shipping only please). And remember it is freshly honed by Max Sprecher.
In all honestly, this is a very good razor! If you don’t want to take my word for it, ask around of anyone who has one, especially this model or has used one. It’s one of the better straight razors I’ve used short of my filarmonica. But truthfully, I’m not straight razor shaving as much these days and I’m in the process of getting rid of possessions I don’t utilize. So my loss your gain. If interested, just send me a private message. First come first serve. I utilize PayPal, US residents only please (I apologize to my international friends, forgive me). I will also post this on other forums so if you’re interested, you may want to act quick.
Thank you
Justin
