I have the same thing.... You did get a steal.... That's rare.... Very rare....I've been offered the equivalent of two wolfman razors for mine and gladly said no..... But I love the shave my other aristocrats give too much to sell a brand new one Smile that won't ever be used.

The aristocrat the the only other vintage gillette that I want that I don't own. People say such great things about them. I need to research them more though. Is there a particular year where more of them were made? Obviously I don't want rare/collectible I'm going to use it. What is the price range?

46-47 is a tad more rare than 48-50 with aristocrats, being in the original box seems to fetch the higher premium by far even more so than the Fatboy etc. There is an aristocrat in my local antique shop now in pretty decent shape (no box) for 50.00 I have several already pm me if you want me to send pics it has plate loss in spots but the TTO is solid and will allow you to shave with it just fine or invest another 100 to get replated if you should choose.

Thanks I'm still on a spending freeze, but I'll let you know.

I sold most of my vintage collection and made a killing. Vintage prices are all over the place and in my experience is cyclical. But some good deals can be found and patience play a big part of it.

I think your prices are pretty close. back when I had an abundance of slims in pretty good shape, I was getting anywhere from $25-$30 for them.

the only number I'd adjust is on the superspeed...I think they can go for around $15 or so in pretty good shape.
