Vintage Brush from Switzerland

I’ll like to share my Vintage Brush Made in Switzerland you don’t see this too Often around I got it used in Excellent Condition besides knot as you can see.

I don’t know the year or who was making these brushes but handle design like Thäther Brush kinda off..

I really like it and plan to replace the knot and have Oumo or Boti brush-SHD Captain Finest  Three Band Badger Hair Bulb.

Let me know what you think or should I keep this original knot??

This looks like a Shavemac octagonal handle to me - they make, btw, the handles for Thaeter for a long time. Shavemac used to make only handles for other companies, but when Bernd stepped into the business, he also started to make complete brushes.
I would keep the original knot!

Well couldn’t refuse it love the brush and shape and I had feeling it was worth something and possibly great vintage brush.

Lady told me that was kept in a safe place for many years and excellent condition so I jumped on it and it’s from Switzerland.

As per knot you suggest I should keep original and not replace it..well I might well do that I’m sure I can have great shave with it as you see how knot looks like.

Maybe it is just me, but the handle looks to be more of a mass production type, and not the usual Shavemac quality, but it isn't that far off. That's not to knock your brush Alan, as It's a beautiful handle, and one I wouldn't mind seeing Bernd produce such a type of in two toned colors. The knot does look good. I'm funny in that I prefer using badger, but in terms of what my second highest amount of brushes by hair type is definitely boar. It's gotten to the point I seem to collect them more than I use them.

That being said about liking the knot, don't let that dissuade you from reknotting it if you really want to. Myself I would go for a premium knot like Shavemac. I'm just not personally into most of the OEM knots for sale. I'm a funny one.

Handle and knot appear to be in very good condition. I recommend not changing the knot, since you have a vintage brush with a knot that appears to be usable. It is a nice addition to your collection.
