I pinched this idea from another person. I can’t find who it was but the credit goes to that person. I bought what appears to be a soup bowl at a thrift shop for 55 cents. I epoxy 5 nickels and dabbed remains of epoxy around to create a rough bottom. Total cost, less the epoxy that I had from a previous job, 80 cents.

That’s a Stone Wave cooker.  There’s supposed to be a lid that goes with it.  Good for making McMuffins and such in the microwave.  I had to pay about $10 for mine.

that is a hell of a cool hack.
I have been wondering how to get a bowl with some ridges without shelling out 30 bucks upwards.

You could make it even cheaper by not using coins but just making a bunch of epoxy bumps all over the bottom. Big Grin

Thanks for the information on that. I went back to the thrift store where I bought the one that I made into the shaving bowl. Lucky for me they still had one with the lid for $3.00. Appears to have never been used. I watched some YouTube videos on it and I’m going to try some eggs in it tomorrow morning. Btw...Amazon wants $45.00 for these things.

I like the soup bowl idea as it would tend to retain heat better than the plastic.
