Two Additional Synthetics

I recently acquired a RazoRock Big Bruce and a Simpson Trafalgar T3. For reference I have bought, sold, and piffed more brushes than I can count over the last 20 plus years. High end Badgers from Simpson and Shavemac, Semogue Boars, and Synthetics from Muhle, Plisson, and Yaqi. I am very fickle and tend to be a serial monogamist when it comes to shaving gear. I have never had a rotation of anything. My last brush was the new 26.5 mm Semogue Boar. I gave it a good 30 shave break-in but came away dissatisfied with it. That led me to try these 2 synthetics and so far I am glad I did. The Big Bruce is soft with medium backbone and splays easily. It has no trouble loading my Stirling soaps. 
I am enjoying the T3 as well although it is quite different than the Big Bruce. It is a bit denser and has a shorter loft so it has a firmer face feel yet is equally as soft. I have to work a little harder to get it to splay but not an issue. It lathers like a champ as long as I start with it well wrung out. The handles on both brushes are comfortable in the hand and are well balanced. So now for the first time I have a brush rotation albeit only two. I kind of have my eye on the Omega Vintage Elite and may give myself a holiday gift.

May I ask what it was that you did not like about the Semogue boar brush? Also what model was it if you know? Saying "new 26.5 mm" doesn't mean much to me.

It was the Asylum Half Hive from Bullgoose. I had difficulty getting it loaded with enough lather for 3 passes. Tried several approaches including the Marco method but nothing worked.
