I posted this on another forum but I guess no one over there has tried it so I'll ask here.

Has anyone here used this knot before and can comment on how it performs and especially how it compares to tuxedo, silksmoke/hawk and plissoft style knots.
Thanks guys!

Yes, I have two that I used for two years approx. that sit unused now. Why? The YaQi "Mew Brown" (SynBad) and Cashmere knots are better as they are the latest generation.

Do you think tuxedo is a better knot than the boss? I don't think Milton carries the synbad nor the cashmere.

He carries something called "Ghost" which sure looks like a Cashmere to me. Also, fwiw, the knot Milton carries that I am curious about is the SilverSynth. Maybe the SilverSynth is his answer to the SynBad, come to think of it?

I don't think the ghost is the same as the cashmere but I'm not sure. I haven't tried any of his knots. I placed an order for a custom and I'm trying to figure out which knot to get. I don't like floppy knots like a timberwolf for example, and something like a silksmoke has too much backbone for me.

I can tell you from experience the ghost knot is nothing like the cashmere knot. I hated the ghost knot so much I sent my brush back to Milton and paid his to change the knot. It felt like a plastic scrub brush or something like that.

Yes, it's better. The Boss is Gen. III and Tuxedo Gen. IV.

I read somewhere that the silversynth has some scritch, don't remember well.
I'm almost certain I'm going to change my order from a boss to a tuxedo given BP's comment. Plus, I have a yaqi tuxedo and I really do like it. Unless someone has any other suggestions.

I got the quarter moon and it was a good knot but not my favorite. Have you tried the timberwolf, it is a wonderful knot. The cashmere knot is awesome too. Also have a WW black wolf knot that is great.
