In the end, I  may have to hit up b&m stores.  I hate shopping for mattresses, which is why I have held off too long buying a new one.

honestly, I don't think you can properly 'try' out a mattress in a store...you only get to sit/lay on it for a few minutes. with tuft & needle, you can try it for 100 days..if you don't like it, they'll refund your money with $0 cost to you.

I agree with both of you in that regard. I like to feel a mattress in the store, but you're really not going to get a good idea of how much you like it until you adjust to it over a couple of weeks.

I've been looking for reviews that compared the mattress (better/worse/same) to ones I could check out locally to get an idea.

There's also a memory foam mattress at Costco that's gotten some pretty good reviews. I went and looked at one last weekend: http://www.costco.com/Sleep-Science-10%2...72925.html

I ruled out the T&N because it's a 2 part mattress at 3/7. I think it'd be a little too firm and hot for our liking.

the regular king in 10in. I don't think you can do the king in 5in...at least it didn't let me make that selection.

Look forward to hear what you think. We went to the "Show Room?" here in Phoenix, We'll probably be getting one when we can$ FYI- The guy that showed it to us said that it could take about ten days to break in.

Looking forward to photos of the setup and your thoughts on its comfort, both initially and after a week or two. Smile

They have a huge advertising budget. They're everywhere.

Based on their own advertising, I kind of wonder what the difference is between their mattress and Ikea?

from what I've been reading, their product seems to stand on its own, regardless of their marketing budget.

another mattress people should check out is one from casper: https://casper.com/mattresses
