I'm pretty sure they still have a ban feature at DFS.

Freddy may have been speaking as a forum member and not a moderator, but I am speaking as a moderator.

There is ZERO room here at DFS for anything resembling a personal attack. Everyone is free to share their opinions, and people certainly are free to disagree on whatever they will. TSE is certainly a polarizing character these days, and that is fine. We can take sides as to whether we like him or whether we do not. We can express those thoughts on this forum. But let's keep it civil, and let's not take our differing opinions to mean that "our side" is right and "the others" are wrong. Be civil, and be respectful to everyone.

I enjoy some of TSE's videos, but I thought this one was ridiculous. Big deal if an artisan wants to have wordy descriptions of their products. Who says you have to read it? Just scan through it for the notes of the scent and get on with your life. I prefer straightforward descriptions but it's no skin off my back if there's a little extra reading. Nothing "rant worthy" IMO.

Hmm, I used to like many of TSE's old videos but I'm not sure what he is trying to accomplish lately.

Hi all. I think its great that we can share our opinions in this forum as this is what DFS is about. So we can express our views, give advice, recommendations, learn from each other & maybe make a friend or two, and to respect each other. I agreed with Chris (I like simplicity), but I also respect & agree with Freddy & all the DFS'ers that posted here. When it gets personal then we have lost the point of this. What I agree with BigPoppa was that it shouldn't be taken seriously it was Chris view along with others that may agree with him, that's all & nothing more. Lets just enjoy.

Why do people still watch these videos, talk about them here and why does DFS even allow them to be posted. TSE only uses this forum to link his videos and offers zero contributions to it outside that. Now I see why TSN stopped allowing video blogs to be posted and he left.

Just stop watching and talking about them here and there would be a lot less name calling and personal attacks.

It's a shaving forum. We talk about shaving related things.

You must really hate this guy...

Nope. I just understand why they allow someone to promote their outside blog and video channel without forum participation.

Not my choice though.

If that's his contribution to the forum, then so be it. Nobody is forcing you to watch the videos. You can just ignore them and maybe not chastise others for doing so and discussing.

I do understand your point about people signing up for forums just to use the B/S/T though. That is bad form for sure.

I see him using the forum, or anyone for that matter, the same as people who sign up to sell.

With video blog links, unlike written communication, posts and discussion, there is no filter or easy way to see what is being discussed. I believe that was the issue elsewhere.

As has happened a few times and discussed here with regards to his videos, sometimes they are NOT forum appropriate and likely in violation of the forum rules.
