I just checked the cost to send a small package to canada via UPS. Cheapest for a 1 lb, 6x6x6 package popped up at $25 USD and change. And I thought USPS to Canada was expensive. Between that and the lackadaisicalness, all of these shipping companies must really be averse to cold weather or something.

This is why IB and Fendrihan have a huge following in Canada.  Both offer free shipping over a certain $ amount.  If I want to send a razor, brush or a single puck of soap to anyone in Canada, I'm looking at a minium of $10 (inside our own country).  I can send the same small parcel to the USA for around $8, which is still crazy when the item may only be worth $5.

Outside of Canadian vendors, our next best option for cheap shipping is actually overseas like Connaught and TVB.  They can ship it to us cheaper then from the USA.  Go figure.

And like most Canadians, we're cheap and don't mind waiting a few extra days or a week for our goods to save a buck or two.

Its hilarious if someone calls me cheap - I take it as a compliment!

The shipping cost to Canada is why almost all ebay or BST post specify CONUS shipping included = otherwise all the profit would be eaten up in shipping to Canada cost. I hate that, completely understand it and would do the same thing but still don't like it

As far as shipping, that stinks man. People from Canadia have it rough. Does Canadian post still travel by moose or something?

You should see if the CanuckShaver would be willing to rate the same 10 vendors on the same 10 criteria for those of you north of the border.

Me too! My wife and I spent last New Year's Eve in Vancouver in fact. What's your friend's address?

Now, you guys know why I enjoy living here, but the winter months can be challenging with all of the rain and darkness!

Enjoyed reading your post Marco, living in the UK I can't really comment..but I usually receive products from IB within 2 weeks of ordering and then it's down to luck whether I have addioonal custom charges to pay.
