I'm curious to get people's recommendations for the best synthetic brushes in your rotation.

Also curious if anyone has experience with the various new Simpsons synthetics and the EVO synthetic.

Currently in my rotation is a Yaqi, Stirling Kong, RR plissoft, and a Maggard. They are all good but looking to expand the rotation if people recommend it.

Thanks in advance for your insights.

To me it all boils down to the Simpson synthetic and omega evo. I listed both for sale and kept the one that didn’t sell first.

Happened to be the omega which I was happy about. It behaves more like a badger knot than the Simpson imo.

For me, not even close.  These are the best.

Great - which Simpson synthetic is this - they seem to sell a couple of synthetic models, i.e. chubby, trafalgar 1, 2 etc. Thanks

Is that a 24mm Evo? Any idea who sells those (in stock)?

Thanks!

Gotcha. Thanks JoeLr

I'm not even certain they make a 24mm, but I thought I had seen a post in the past ... Not sure why that looked smaller to me. Lol.

They are beautiful brushes.

Evo are all 28 and I’m not aware of anyone selling them right now. All out of stock

I should state that these "large" synth knots need to be taken in context, especially if you're coming from the land of badger.  The T3, which to my eye is clearly bigger than the EVO, is not very big when placed next to a bloomed 26mm 2-band badger that I have, and likewise, in use, it doesn't feel that big (***to me***).  Hell, I have a 30mm SynBad knotted brush that looks like nothing special size-wise whne next to the same 2-band badger.
