Nivea is good stuff and provably my number one, but Gillette Sensitive Skin After Shave Lotion is really good and inexpensive.

Another very good balm, which is scentless and has a touch of menthol, is Ginger's Garden Balm. I use it and Nivea sensitive skin, exclusively and they are wonderful. GG has all the good stuff. Very enriching for the skin.

the ones i use most is my Nivea sensetive balm and my Lóccitane cade after shave balm. Both are great.

I would love to try some soap commander balm but with the shipping rates to Europe it will have to wait :Smile

You can buy Stirling from shavingtime.
Great ASB. Great soaps as well.

Am stopping at Pasteur on Weds to pick up at least one of your balms and one of your soaps. You sent me a soap sample with my purchase of aftershave and it was love at first lather.

Awesome!  Which sample was it?

I think it's called Santal Fougere. One of the best fragrances ever. And the performance is spectacular.

I am balm guy, and have for many years enjoyed both Nivea Sensitive and Proraso balms.

But after getting into this artisan world, I am really enjoying Soap Commanders balms. I love their longevity, that they are not greasy, has excellent scents and the menthol is a must-have for me. Especially during the summers.

Going to try the Reef Point balms soon.

I use village barber balm made here in the UK, perhaps not the best fragrance, but very, very effective!!

I ordered some Micky Lees aftershave milk after a colleague told me he used it as a balm.... I don't use balms everyday, only when my face tells me I need to.  I wouldn't use this stuff as an aftershave as its labeled, for me not my cup of tea.  However as a balm, it's thick like a balm and smells good, scent dissipates quickly.  Ironically, this stuff is heavy in Witch Hazel and Aloe.  Last week my son went to a birthday party and apparently sunscreen wasn't given.  After shaving the following day I playfully wiped some on his neck forgetting he had a burn.  It soothed his burn better than anything in the medicine cabinet we had for sunburn.  Seems to be a wonderful sunburn treatment if nothing else!  He used it for three days in a row.

I use to use Nivea too. There's nothing wrong with it and you can always get your hands on some. Now I have two Soap Commander balms respect and gusto. They have tremendous face feel and the hit of menthol at the end is great. I also have a Soapy Bathman balm, he makes them to order. In this case he made Refreshing Mint with a triple menthol kick. It feels great on the face and oh boy is that menthol cold, I love it.
