I love the variety but there is a saturation point at which I throw my hands up and realize I'm unwilling to buy a soap or two every week. I've also found that many of them, in terms of performance, are quite similar. Where they seem to try to distinguish themselves is with fragrance, which, though I love, is not that important to me since I tend to rinse it off and use a balm or an aftershave or both. It's more important that a soap doesn't have a smell that puts me off (the original Latha has a fragrance I dislike but the performance is superb. My other B & M, the Lavender, smells great).

There are soaps I want to try, but I'm taking a break on buying new soaps until Labor Day. Meanwhile, I'm continuing to enjoy the line up I've assembled which includes Reef Point, Soap Commander, Mike's and Tiki, all of which I love using. And I should include my beloved LPL, which is probably close enough to being from an artisan to fit the category.

Meanwhile, I do think the market will sort things out as some of the artisans continue to thrive and others get out of the business.
