Shane, if a slant design hasn't materialized by now I would encourage you to invest your energy elsewhere. While I have a couple slants I enjoy, I think the concept itself is bogus other than reducing blade chatter in helical variants.

I don’t entirely disagree. I have been putting my energy elsewhere, but I’ll still make one at some point simply because people love slants.

I think that for the last couple of years, whenever Shane has received an e-mail from me, it has contained the word ‘titanium’… Smile

Blackland Razors - any update on the Ti Blackbird? Either the initial batch or full production?

Thanks!

I have a non-update update. My machinists quoted much higher than I wanted and needed so they're going back at it to drive that cost down to something palatable. I jumped the gun and expected that pricing to be in line with our previous conversations. That's my fault and I should've held off on announcing until things were locked in, but I was excited. Hopefully we can sort that out soon and get these rolling!

Shane, will you be taking pre-orders? Also, have you decided on polished Vs brushed finish (or both)?
Thanks and can't wait for this!

Unsure regarding pre-orders. But we’ll almost certainly do both polished and machined finishes.

I'm down with anodizing. There is a Bluebird around. It was a Delta Echo'd example, IIRC. Not in Ti either

Is it possible to make a black ti BB? That'll be as close to the real thing as you can get in a razor.
