Tip: Removing scratches from mirror polished stainless steel razors

I like this idea, now I'm wondering if there's a way to figure out if the nail files my wife has would have the right grit.

If you can feel the scratch with your fingernail, I don’t think this works.  If it’s just light and superficial, it should be ok

These nailfiles that will do are
used to polish the nails in such
degree that it looks like the nails have
been coated with nail polish.
All the rest -commonly used-nail files
are not appropriate for the job.
THEY WILL SCRATCH THE RAZOR.
