Hello,
I heard some good things about these blades and I thought I'd give them a try. However, the first five blades, in the pack, have some kind of stain/discoloration on them; I am guessing a chemical stain. It's not wax and does not come off with scraping, ( I just had to try), it is definitively well attached.
I tried one, for three shaves, where the stain was well away from the cutting edge, and the blade was OK but nothing great, a bit of drag and not smooth.
Has anyone else experienced or seen this. I know I am not the most experienced DE shaver, but something seems off.

Timor user. Never seen. Where sourced? Have found corking these blades prior to each use really works magic

Hello,
Thanks for the reply.
I got them off of a seller on Amazon, "Amazing Shaving", who is still selling them. They had a good rating, so I thought I'd give it a try. The blades were a little cheaper than Italian Barber.
Thanks for the advice on corking. If I find a clean one I'll give it a go.

What kind of razor are you using? Whenever I have used stainless steel razors I invariably end up with rust-looking “tea stains” that stain both the razor and the blade. It’s not on or near the edge of the blade but closer to the middle, essentially where water gets trapped between the blade and the razor itself.

I tried them on a brass Karve and they were stained before I used them. Straight from the package

Let me know if want to try sound Timors. By far best blade (defined as sharp but comfortable) tried to date but outrageously expensive

Thanks for the generous offer. I think I’ll go through what I have and see if I can find any clean blades; there’s bound to be one out of 30. ??
If I can’t find one I’ll give you a shout. Again, thanks for the advice and your offer.
