To how fast the artisan shave soap movement exploded onto the scene.  Mike's and Mystic Waters both hit the forums early in 2012, 3-1/2 years ago.  To contrast that, Soap Commander just celebrated their first anniversary.

Looking at their website, QCS has been in business since '09. That is EONS in the current world of artisan soapers. I believe SCS is even older!

Soap only?

My soap intro was in Dec' '14, but I don't make it, Seifenglatt (Soap Smooth) does. I have no idea when they began.

We started with bath soaps in 2011, and began the current iteration of shaving soaps around the middle of last year.

One way to date (very approximatively) the soap makers is the check for the archives of their website:

Seifenglatt was not made by me, it was made by old soap maker in Montpellier.
I started making Soap Smooth soap right around the time we partnered up with Brian to make Krampert's Finest Wink

We started with bath soaps in Jan 12, and with shave soaps about 10 months later. We didn't start making usable shave soaps in later on in 2013 ;-)
