Redrako is correct. Every now and then I have a sensitivity to a fragrance/essential oil. I've never found that I have sensitivities to everything a particular artisan puts out, it's definitely with a specific soap or two containing a particular type of oil.

I had Tiki Land Locked and I absolutely adored the scent and the lather created but like yourself I had a fairly quick and unpleasant reaction to it and up until that point I had tried most soaps with Lanolin and the other ingredients that you would typically find in the seasonal soaps like Pumpkin 3.14 , Ciderhouse 5 etc that were known to cause irritation.
All the research , including speaking to Amanda who makes the soap would point to it being the fragrance oils used. Unfortunately I've yet to try any more of the Tiki soaps mainly because they aren't available in the UK and I don't really want to get it shipped from the States due to my experience with Land Locked.
As previous posts have stated , a reaction to one soap in a soap makers line in the main does not mean a similar reaction would be had with other scents but I would be kicking myself if I went to the expense of shipping and import tax to the UK only to have it happen again. You live and learn I suppose.

Not knocking tiki at all great stuff but, there is something with some E/O that just don't agree with me.
You could contact the maker and tell her of the issues you have with either soap and although she wouldn't want to give away any ingredients she may point you in the direction of which soaps to try that may not have the ingredients (eo's , fo's) that are likely to have caused your issues. The lady herself contacted me after seeing my post on a G+ community and offered to send me samples awhile back. Good luck.

Not with Tiki. So far only with Catie's Bubbles Le Piment de la Vie. To be fair, the soap comes with a warning that some people might find the ingredients irritating. It's not a bad burn or anything, more like an alum sting, but it's enough to where I rarely use the soap though i love the smell. I have other Catie's and no problems with any of them. Must be the clove or whatever it is in LPV.

This happens to me in about 1 in every 25 or 30 soaps. I've had it happen with Truefitt & Hill Sandalwood, Tiki Sandalwood, PAA Aloha and several other soaps. I just happen to remember those off the top of my head because I really enjoyed the scents and was disappointed that I couldn't keep them
