My drive home from work last night. Every winter I keep asking myself why I still live here...

It was nice in Northern New Jersey. Very pretty once the clouds cleared in the morning and it was sunny.

I am visiting a friend in Akron, New York (about 20 miles from downtown Buffalo) and this was taken from his kitchen window.  While it is beautiful to look at, yesterday it was 77 degrees back home in San Diego.  I used to live on both the East Coast and the Midwest (New York and Ohio) so I know what it’s like to live in frigid conditions.  However, I no longer miss the bitter cold and, especially, having to drive in snowy and icy conditions.  While I am enjoying my visit very much, I shall look forward to a return to more equable San Diego weather.
