Beautiful pic Eric. I just didn't care for the Parker shave as well as the vintage ones. Glad you got it to work for you. 70th FTW

The Parker adjustable injector was my gateway into the single edge rabbit hole! I "blame" Dave in KY!! Not really, but he sold me his, because of the mildness and I just love it!

Used the same set up two days in a row. I didn't have the energy either day to do more than grab the first shave related items I saw and use them. Fortunately they are all about as good as it gets for me. Great three pass BBS both days and I'm smelling amazing, which is good since I needed the pick-me-up. 3 guys in my department tested positive for covid and three more are quarantined until they are sure they don't have it. Since that leaves us severely short handed, we are on mandatory 10 hour shifts and I am staying on midnights.  This is the second time I was really looking forward to going back to day shift and found out that it wasn't going to happen, so I allowed myself about half an hour to be extremely PO'ed and then I found something better to think about and got back to my day. I learned a long time ago that I can't change my circumstances sometimes, but I can choose to let them poison my mood or not.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Sorry to hear about the work drama but sounds like you have a good mindset for it. Hang in there !

Shift work sucks. I did it years ago right out of high school working on drilling rigs in the north. Fly in snd work a week of 12 hour day shifts then a week of 12 hour night shifts then fly home for a week to sleep then do it again.

My daughter is a nurse snd has been at it for two years since graduating. She does not enjoy 12 hour shifts or night shifts. Typical schedule is two 12 hour day shifts followed by two 12 hour night shifts. It’s tough on your sleep. Your schedule isn’t aligned with anybody else’s and there’s documented evidence that night shift work is very bad for human health. I don’t know how people with families do it.

Here’s hoping you get back to day shifts soon.

Dave hit the nail on the head, as usual.  You sound like a wise man in a tough spot.  I hope you come through this healthy and, if anything, even stronger.

Thanks guys! Just chilling out for a bit before I head back in. Thankfully I have tomorrow off, and can enjoy my day and maybe hone a razor or two. Another positive was getting an email today letting me know that my Max Sprecher custom razor has been shipped. He has a pretty long wait list so I put it out of my mind after I ordered it so I wouldn't drive myself crazy with impatience lol.

Enjoy your day off. Honing is one of my chill out and relax/reset kind of things. As well as reloading. Hang in there.

Thanks, I did have an enjoyable honing session with an Otto Busch that I found on the auction site. I'm finding that, while I enjoy all my straights, I have a preference for the larger blades, so I did a search for 7/8 straight razors and that was one that popped up. Amazingly enough no one else bid on it so I won it with the starting bid, which was quite low compared to other razors close to it's size and quality. I have you to thank for turning me on to that name, as I don't think I'd heard it before and I've been drooling over your World Master since I saw it.
