Does anyone have both the new Ikon MR SE and the ATT SE 1 or SE 2 and I'm especially interested in the aluminum version and how they compare to the SS as well. Reason I sold my El Jefe and bought the MR SE and it gives me a good shave but not a great shave and I have more than a few razors in my den that do give me a great shave so why settle for less has been my attitude lately. I've read some really impressive reviews of the ATT SE1 and the even more efficient ATT SE2 and wondered if anyone could compare either one of the 2 to the MR SE from Ikon.

Thank you!

Using a Schick adjustable injector this week. Normally, I prefer a heavier razor - but the injectors are an exception.

I just bought the Ikon MR-SE but have not gotten a handle for it yet. I'm hoping one of my non ikon handles would work, if not I may get the Ikon Bamboo or the 85mm Bulldog.
I never owned the El Jefe and the only other Artist Club SE razor I have is the Razorock Hawk v1.

I like how the Razorock shaves but I wanted something more durable, the RR Hawk seems it would break easy if dropped or the threads could easily misaligned due to the softer aluminum materials.

I prefer lighter weight when it comes to AC style SE razors.

I got the MR-SE if it's anything close to their shavecraft heads it is quite durable, I'm concerned about the weight when I pair it with one of the SS ikon handles, can anyone recommend which handle would pair well with this head?

Since I never owned the El Jefe this is kind of like a blind purchase, maybe the higher weight of this razor will be ideal.

If it shaves better than the RR Hawk, I'll be a happy camper.

It's sharp and it cuts. I like it...

Great shave with the Cobra Classic & Feather Pro. A wonderful and gorgeous tool in my eyes at least........

I only have 2 SE razors at the moment. A Colonial Razors Brass General which is one of my favorites and a GEM Junior 1912. The Brass General is one of my favorite razors, so smooth, so easy to use, may get a custom handle for it as I want some knurling.

I had an aluminum general as well but traded that for some frag, the guy I traded with is extremely happy with the razor and may look to more SE razors.

I'm looking at trying the Blackland Sabre soon just waiting on reviews of the new aggressive plate.

They are fabulous razors.
The handles are comfortable and really skid proof.
They require a steeper angle than most other razors.

Smooth, close shaves and the blades last forever. Maybe longer.

I have not forsaken Rolls or GEM though.

Just picked up and used a Satin Mongoose today. Compared to my Brass general it's milder, not as much blade feel on it but still very efficient and comfortable. I do get much better shaves from my SE blades over my DE razors but do enjoy both of them.

MMOC/ Pella injector blade (2)
Stirling 24mm finest
Fine AB soap
Victoria and Margaret AS toner
Victoria and Margaret vetiver AS w/menthol

This is my second shave trying an injector blade in the MMOC, nice 2 pass DFS.
I'll probably shave with this combo one more time then switch to a gem ptfe for comparison.

Mine has the middle nub, which the injector blade will sit partially on top of, just set it against the stops and crank it down tight. I used a Pella, which aren't my favorite, to see how it behaved. I didn't want to waste one of my P74s on an experiment. Smile
