Clint, I have bowl lathered exactly twice. Once the very first time I blade shaved and again about month later because I figured that since so many people used a bowl I had to be missing something. Face lathering is sensual and prep for whisker removal; also a reduction in required gear.

I am the same way. I bowl lathered the first week I was learning to use a brush and soap. I tried face lathering and never looked back. I get so much enjoyment from experiencing the difference in the brushes as I face lather. One less thing to clean and put away is another bonus.

I truly enjoy using this brush.  The weight of the brass handle combined with the excellent backbone and flow through of the  Druida knot make this brush a lather making machine.  The Rossa provided a wonderful slick base with a great scent making the shave all the more enjoyable.  A 2 pass, XTG & ATG, followed by minimal touch ups ended in near BBS.  I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

Finally received the Chick blades yesterday. Loaded up the Schick 66 for its initial shave....absolutely no disappointment in the razor or blades Smile

Me too! Bowl lathering is boring to me. Face lathering is like a pre shave face massage

Another consistently excellent shave this moring.  The CH2 Synthetic whipped up the Route 66 Bay Lime Twist easily with the lime citrus scent adding an enjoyable layer to the shave.  Two passes and minimal touch ended in a near BBS shave.  I finished off with a splash of Folsom & Co Shambala.  I hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday.
