SEptember Shave 7
ER Shovelhead with Bakelite handle + GEM PTFE (4)
Razorock Plissoft 24mm Bruce Handle
Beaver Woodwright Ghost Ship
T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Clubman
First time using the Shovelhead. Could tell a little more aggressive. Little trouble getting the angle right. Seems like I didn't need to tilt the razor very much. Good shave.

Received this Soap today(with a bunch of samples) so I went with a razor I have a bunch of shaves with. First Van Yulay soap/croap and the performance was excellent. This Blade typically would have been tossed after 6 Shaves, but this one is still going strong.

First shave with the newly arrived MMOC. Superb, no nicks or weepers, 2 pass + BBS. I Levi and hand stropped the Gem coated blade before use, can't say whether that helped as it's my first shave with them, but sure was smooth. Lots of noise but no tugging, not as easy going as my injectors but way easier shave than my aggressive DEs (Shake Sharp, R41). I'm going to enjoy the next couple weeks (Clogpruf, 1914, 1912 in the bullpen).

Glad to hear you had a great first outing with the OCMM. These SE razors really are something. Looks like you have a deep bullpen.

Were there different iterations of the OCMM? It could just be one of those YMMV situations, but you guys all seem to love this razor. I can't get along with mine. It's harsh for lack of a better word. The reason I ask is that I see a lot of these with nothing on the top cap/door. Mine says "HOLD FLAT AGAINST FACE". Is there any difference between these razors?
